How digital ethics evolved within the years.

Within the years the use of the internet had grown more and more popular, also the misuse of it has been increasing as well. Such as the problem with the bus monitor who was elderly and the kids were making fun of her and saying rude things to her and thought it would be funny to post it on facebook well sooner or later the video leaked out and many people were disgusted with it and made a change and raised money for her to take a break and go on vacation. As for the kids they got in trouble and they were able to tell who the kids were and such with of course other information provided from the lady and the school, but it all started with a video leak that someone thought was funny. The internet and the use of digital media has evolved since our parents came in fact, I think that my parents had less drama then we do/did in high school. So it kinda goes both ways when they say that we have it easy.

First week of WIA summer program.

Like I said before it is such an honor to be in this programs and we still have like 3 more weeks of fun filled activities and work to do. Things that I really enjoy within this program is that the staff is so friendly and the class or "office" that we work in so advanced then like an actual class within school and the kids in here are real friendly and we get along all really great. I haven't really have a down side for this program except for the time that we have to go home, I could stay here forever! Even if we weren't getting paid. Because I really want a lot of experience or this kind of programming and to learn new stuff so that I am prepared for college when I go to IADT. I really enjoy graphic design and I am excited for what the future brings.

3 companies that I would want to work for just by looking at their logos.

The career that I really want to pursue is being a graphic designer.

For the first one I chose I thought this logo was pretty cool. I really like animals so this really stood out to me by the shark actually being the animal and the lettering. When I was in middle school I remember doing whale and making the animals with the letters, so it brought back memories.

As for this next picture I really enjoy with like organic stuff and eco-friendly stuff. And I really like the small bird cause again I really like animals. And If I did work for this company I would feel right by doing the earth good by making the print and such for organic clothes.

The logo is with the shirt and the back of the shirt. But the shirt is really creative so what caught my eye in this is the abstract yet like kinda scary, creepy chiller feeling with the shirt. I really like designing shirts and I am really excited for when we get into designing shirts within this program.

What are the top 5 things that you would/wouldn't look for in a new employee?

The top five things that I would look for an employee and I'm starting them in the order that if I was hiring them would probably be starting with being honest. There is something about lying and being DISHONEST that really gets me off and it just isn't really necessary whether it be if they did something wrong and not facing up to it or along the lines like that. Another big thing is hygiene, nobody wants an employee with bad breath speaking to the customer, or that smells really bad. Being able to work with others is another big one. Being able to work within a cooperation or with other co workers it is very important to maintain a relationship with them, even the smallest common likes can spark the same level of interest and can lead on to friendship. Communication with others, such as the customers is fatal. Depending on where our working you have to know how to communicate with different kind of people and know how to react, because not all people are nice. So make sure that you have a smile on your face and seize the day. Also our attitude upon work is also needed to make sure that you don't give people the wrong idea, I mean if you really don't like working at a fast food place, complaining about it really isn't going to do anything or change anything to set to your needs. These are the important traits that I would look for within a person.

What is WIA to you?

WIA is a program that has many pros to it as for having it's incentive for schooling and such. Within this past school year I had dual enrollment for Port Huron High School and Harrison Center, where I first started the WIA. It really helped me get my credit for the financial class credit for algebra and at the end of the year I got incentive money for completing credits! And now it is such an honor being in this summer program, cause I really think that it would prep me up for college because I'm going to IADT (International Academy of Design and Technology) in January and becoming a professional graphic designer or maybe a photographer I haven't decided yet. I enjoy expressing emotions through art and I'm glad that this program is giving me the opportunity to learn more and to work in a team. I'm quite excited for the next three weeks.
